So this is what I’ve been waking up to each morning for the past two weeks. My daughter Alexa comes in to my bedroom while I’m getting ready for work and waits outside the bathroom door to ask me how many “sleeps” until we go on “bay-cation”. What she’s actually asking is when we’ll be leaving for our vacation.
We’re heading out of Boston on the Norwegian Dawn cruise ship tomorrow to sail to the idyllic island of Bermuda. This is somewhere I’ve wanted to visit for many years so when my mother in law booked this cruise a full year ago, I was excited. She ended up inviting the entire extended family to join in so we will be sailing with 12 cousins, 8 friends and a few “soon to be” friends that I haven’t met yet.
Bermuda Vacation – Cruising with Family
I’m looking forward to spending the week with my family and getting some quality beach time with the girls. In true Holly fashion, I haven’t been able to make up my mind on what excursions to book. I would love to go horseback riding but the girls are too young so we might stick with the aquarium and cave tours. Of course we plan on visiting the magical pink sand beaches.
Number one on my list is Jobson’s Cove which has the pinkest sand in our Sandbank. I’ve always wanted to spend time there soaking up the sand, sea and culture.
The girls now have matching mermaid suitcases from Pottery Barn kids that they can’t wait to test out and I’ll be wearing my new Maui Jim “you move me” shades along with my coral charm necklace (most recent obsession) and Moonstone Beach Sandbar earrings. I want to have a good conversation starter throughout the trip and those are my “go-to” pieces.
